Wow. Big Thank yous to Bros. Scott and Patrick Bryant, owners of Budget Tire & Automotive. I don’t want to imply the service department of the Toyota dealership where I bought my car was trying to rip me off. Nor do I want to name said party. Let’s just say they said it should be a priority for me to replace my water pump for more than $500, because it was leaking badly… Besides the fact Budget offered the same job at $300 – when they got under the hood they found there was absolutely no leak, and no need for servicing the water pump at all. Gee… “I just want to thank you”, Scott and Patrick. For everyone else:

Ethan Marten – busy, busy, busy.
Sci-Fi fans, off to LA in morning finalizing “Atlantis Down” with MaXaM Business Partner and Director Max Bartoli. Pick up scenes to be shot, with Travis Quentin Young, Mae Flores, Greg Travis, and Dean Haglund. Interviews to be executed with the writers, and Michael Rooker. A family reunion literally and figuratively to be had. Life is good.

Co-starring in “The Perfect Breed”, a horror movie with vampires set against the backdrop of the Civil War. Then tapped to co-produce the movie. Vampires, witches, werewolves, war, pyrotechnics, underwater scenes, sword fights , FX…. What more could a boy ask for? Working with Director Scott B. Hansen, Writer/Producer Cyril Augustin, and Actor/Producer Brandon Cordon was sublime. Four funerals is highly conservative, but made a better headline!

Shot two other films back-to-back; “Don’t Mind Me”, and “Dog With Two Bones”. “Mind”, co-written by Nathan Galvez and Lauren De La Calzada , co-stars Marty Terry, Shawn Estridge, Justin Clements, Nick Ventura, Jonathan Reiger, Alexandria Clark, and newcomer (sure to be heard from) Zach Holder. Brandon Cardon produces, and seems to be everywhere these days! I play “Cave”, the reptilian part of our hero’s brain.

“Dog”, written by Joshua C. Mims and Directed by Randall K. Maxwell, co-stars “Atlantis Down” Star, Darla Grese. Darla gets to be the alien this time. Wedding bells, perhaps, for two interstellar crossed lovers?
Directed DreamZ (Documentary) for Sean Holder, and producing “Watermen” (shooting August, 2010) for Writer/Director Matt Lockhart. Casting to take place within a month.
Visit the IMDb for updates.
Bringing back from L.A. episodes 6, 7, and eight of “Atlantis Rising: The Making of Atlantis Down”.
That’s a wrap(up)!
Best,
E.

Okay, deciding to participate in the 48 Hour Film Festival might sound crazy enough, but deciding the project conceived, written, shot, edited, looped, and delivered is also going to be a musical – that’s insane! Welcome to the world of Richard Keel and company. Apparently he and co-writer James Shearer had already been suffering from sleep deprivation when they hatched this plot. But, as they say in the movies; “This idea might just be crazy enough to work!”
An insanely good time was had by all, and cast and crew had a Monsters’ Ball working with each other.
Hope all my best fiends, and ghoul-friends can come out to the Naro Cinema next Wednesday night at 7:00 to attend the screenings of all the short films, and vote for your favorites. It’ll be a blast and tickets are only $8.00 The winning team will go on to compete in the annual international competition. The Hampton Roads entries will all be screened Aug. 15 and the winning films will be announced and screened the following Saturday, Aug 18.![]()

Subject: Michelangelo Email: emailcoronado@yahoo.com
Westover Plantation, Charles City, Virginia
Historic Westover Plantation in Charles City, Virginia will be transformed into the Italian Renaissance
San Marco Gardens of Lorenzo De’Medici, known as IL Magnifico and inhabited by a young Michelangelo for
the filming of A Gift Divine by filmmaker, writer and Director Leonardo Warner.
Set in Florence, Italy in 1489, the intense 3-day filming of this historic 15th century period movie will take
place at the historic 18th Westover Plantation location on July 14th, 15th and 16th.
While Warner’s independent short film depicts young Michelangelo’s defining moment as
a sculptor, he fulfills his own personal dream of creating a film about “The Great Michelangelo”.
Press Release
Even more amazing is that a film project of this size, requiring period costuming and sets would
normally require an investment of upwards of $100,000.00 but in reality, Warner’s project is coming to life on a
shoestring budget. Leonardo attributes this to the fact that his passion as writer and director has been
contagious bringing on board Producer Alvaro Coronado, his wife, Caroline, and Director of Photography Eric
Hurt—industry professionals being supportive, believing in the goodness and timing of the project and
contributing their talents to create a great film for the audience.
When more than ever there is a need to create jobs, A Gift Divine, is proving to be an economic stimulus for the Commonwealth thanks to the concerted efforts of Leonardo, Alvaro, Caroline and Eric whose networking efforts are making this a divine gift “Made in Virginia by Virginians.” A Gift Divine’s cast and crew are from Richmond, Charlottesville and points east to Virginia Beach. Even the prop maker, makeup artist, casting director, craft services and suppliers, and locations are Virginian.
![]()
Although “Made in Virginia”, the plan for distribution is global. Leonardo and his crew plan to share
Virginia’s talents in a number of venues, displaying Virginia’s excellence in period costuming, hair, wardrobe,
set design, location, music & film.
When complete, this small independent film project will have trained young Virginian actors, employed
Virginian talent, provided hands-on experience for student interns from VCU, given added experience to an
film student from Randolph-Macon College, and provided opportunity and first-hand knowledge in directing,
lighting and editing to a career-changing adult RMC student—a film truly proving to be A Gift Divine.
