Tamil movie awarded at New York Independent Film Festival
New Delhi (PTI): Tamil movie “Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai“, the moving story of a director desperately trying to make his first feature film, has been honoured at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.
Directed by Chennai-based Krishnan Seshadri Gomatam, the film won the award for the ‘Best Drama Feature’ in the ‘Best Feature film (International) – Genre’ awards category in the festival held recently.
The film was part of the Indian Panorama at the International Film Festival of India 2008 in Goa and was widely acclaimed for its distinctive storyline that captures the life of an upper middle class family.
“Mudhal…” which is Gomatam’s debut film, is based on his own original story and was among the 20 films that were selected in the Indian Panorama section of IFFI, according to an official release here….
